Disabled Downloads
One of the most commonly reported problems is that a download link is disabled. Download links may disable, even during the checkout period, if the patron has clicked the download link and obtained the license three times. Download limits are primarily due to publisher desire and to help prevent abuse of their content. While the download link may disable, parts may be downloaded or re-downloaded through the OverDrive Media Console by clicking 'Download Part(s)'. So even if the download link disables, the patron will still have the use of their titles for the duration of their checkout.
Overdrive also recommends trying the following in the event of a disabled download:
- Open Internet Explorer
- Click Tools > Internet Options
- Click the "Security" tab
- Select "Internet" and click "Default Level"
- Click "OK"
- Clear the browser cache and cookies
- Try the download again
