LCD flat panel monitors have plastic screens that can be damaged more easily than glass tube monitors. They require special cleaning procedures.
How To Clean
- As a safety precaution, unplug the power cord from the monitor before cleaning it.
- Lightly moisten a soft, clean, lint-free cloth. Never use any type of paper towel.
- Wipe the screen gently back and forth, not in a circular motion.
- Never use ammonia, soap, ethyl alcohol, or glass cleaning products such as Windex™ to clean an LCD monitor.
- Don't touch the LCD directly with your fingers, because oils will remain on the screen.
- If a screen has a mark that is hard to remove, you can use diluted (50% or better) isopropyl alcohol.
